President Radev, Deputy Defence Minister to Watch Demonstrations within Breeze 2024 Naval Exercise

President Rumen Radev will watch demonstrations in Burgas (on the Black Sea) within the Breeze 2024 national naval exercise with international participation. The Commander-in-Chief will observe the implementation of joined tasks and a demonstration of defence capabilities in naval operations for crisis response, his press secretariat reported.

Also to attend the Breeze 2024 VIP day are Deputy Defence Minister Radostin Iliev and Deputy Chief of Defence Tsanko Stoykov, the Defence Ministry reported.

The main purpose of Breeze 2024 is to enhance the interoperability and interaction among the navies of the participating countries: Bulgaria, Albania, Belgium, UK, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, USA, Turkiye, and France. Participating in the exercise are also NATO Maritime Command, NATO Naval Mine Warfare Centre of Excellence, NATO Force Integration Unit Bulgaria Defence Headquarters, NATO Maritime Interdiction Operations Training Center, and the Mine Counter-measures Task Group Black Sea.
