site.btaParliament Deputy Chair Says She Has Received Death Threats

Parliament Deputy Chair Viktoria Vassileva and Velichie MP said Thursday during an interview for Nova TV that she has received several death threats.

Vassileva said: "There were several threats, not just one. This was an extremely well-organized and targeted campaign. I will not presume to say who organized it. I have a clear idea where these threats came from."

Vassileva has referred the matter to the law enforcement authorities.

Earlier Thursday, the governing body of the Velichie party called on Vassileva to resign as Deputy Parliament Chair and on Nikolay Markov to resign as Floor Leader.
