Tomislav Donchev was born in Gabrovo (Central Bulgaria) on August 6, 1973. Holds Master's degrees in Philosophy and in Business Management from Veliko Tarnovo University. Specialized in Poland, Israel and UK.

Elected to nine parliaments: 42nd, 43rd, 44th, 45th, 46th, 48th, 49th and 50th National Assembly (2013-2024).

Executive director of Gabrovo Business Incubator (2001-2004). Programme director at Open Society Institute-Sofia (2004-2007). Mayor of Gabrovo (2007-2010), minister without portfolio in charge of EU funds management (2010-2013, 2014-2017). Member of the European Parliament (2013). Deputy prime minister in two Boyko Borissov cabinets (2014-2021).

More than ten years' experience in preparation and management of European projects in regional and economic development, education and social sphere.
