On this date in Bulgarian history:
1919: Eight-hour working day and 48-hour working week are introduced by royal decree. Six-hour day is approved for workers aged under 16 and for those working night shifts and in health-hazardous conditions.
1925: National Assembly adopts Lawyers Act, establishing The Bar in Bulgaria.
1959: Sociological Society is established (renamed Bulgarian Sociological Association in April 1969).
1998: National Assembly ratifies Agreement between Bulgaria and Turkey on determination of their border in area of Rezovska/Mutludere River mouth and delimitation of seaspaces between two States in Black Sea, signed in Sofia on December 4, 1997.
