Martin Dimitrov MP of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television here on Saturday that he doubts that President Rumen Radev would give a potential third government-forming mandate to CC-DB, since "Radev likes this situation of uncertainty that [GERB leader Boyko] Borissov and [Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Floor Leader Delyan] Peevski are creating." Dimitrov said that Radev is taking advantage of the situation.

The first and the second mandate are bound by Constitution to go to the two largest parliamentary groups, while the third exploratory government-forming mandate gets handed over by the President to a parliamentary party of their choice.

Dimitrov said that Borissov sent the President to represent the country at the NATO Summit on July 9 - 11 in Washington, D.C., which means that the leader of GERB and the head of State have established a permanent dialogue.

Dimitrov said that his coalition in this Parliament will be a pro-European opposition. The MP did not deny about internal problems in CC-DB but stressed that there is no problem for DB, who are right-oriented, to have differences with CC, who follow a more centrist line.

The MP criticized Borissov for wasting six government-forming mandates that GERB has received over the past four years. He added: "While being in power for 12 years, Borissov and the MRF appointed the most important regulators in the country." Dimitrov accused GERB and the MRF of trying to preserve this huge power that is in their hands.
