site.btaPolice Finds Marijuana Growing Facility in Varna - 18th in Region for 2024

The Varna police broke up a marijuana growing facility, the 18th such operation in the region in 2024, said the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry on Saturday. 

About 45 kilograms of semi-dry mass of hemp were found during the searches of the house. Police teams found that the building contained a high-tech greenhouse for growing hemp, as well as premises equipped for its subsequent processing.

A 41-year-old man from Varna without a criminal record has been detained for a period of 24 hours. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
