Bulgarian athletes won four gold and one bronze medals on the second day of the Virtus Open European Athletics Championships for people with intellectual disabilities in Uppsala, Sweden.
100-m champion Aleksandar Asenov added another two titles after taking victory in the triathlon and the long jump.
Radena Angelova took gold in the 1500 m race walk with 13:20.87 minutes. She won the bronze in the triathlon with a score of 468 points and finished fourth in the javelin throw with 10.39 m.
Boyan Vandov won the first place in the discus throw with 13.24 m and finished sixth in the javelin throw with 9.02 m.
So far Bulgarian athletes have won five gold and one bronze medals.
