site.btaUnit 6 of Kozloduy N-plant to Be Switched Off for Repairs on June 15
On June 15 unit 6 of the Kozloduy N-plant will be switched off for repairs due to malfunction of the oil system of the 24/400kV generator transformer (non-nuclear part of the unit) detected during operation, as well as signs of coolant leakage. The leakage is monitored constantly, and is currently lower than the allowed range. The shutdown was coordinated with the Electricity System Operator, taking into account the load on the national energy system and the availability of sufficient generating capacities in the country, the N-plant said.
There is no change in the radiation levels at the site of the N-plant.
After the end of repair works, unit 6 will be brought back on stream. After the completion of the scheduled annual repairs, Unit 5 was connected to the grid on June 10.
