At a press briefing at the GERB headquarters here on Thursday, Tomislav Donchev said that GERB’s victory in the June 9 snap elections is important because it happened after years of attempts to destroy a political force. Donchev analyzed the election results from the elections and stressed that “this competition has its order, in which the first is first, the second is second, the third is third”.

Donchev noted that the returned support for GERB in cities such as Varna, Vidin, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad, Shumen, Dobrich is of particular importance. He added that it is apparent that GERB can show good results, even when they are not present in the local government. He reported a return of confidence in Sofia, where GERB-UDF won nine multi-member constituencies.
