A yellow code for intense rainfall has been issued on Tuesday for 13 regions of the country, said the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The warning is valid for the regions of Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Lovech, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Sofia - region, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Haskovo.

Locally heavy rainfall, with amounts between 25 and 35 mm, thunder activity and hail are expected.

NIMH reported that the maximum temperatures in the country on Tuesday will be between 30C and 35C, in Northwestern Bulgaria - between 26C and 29C, in Sofia - around 26C.
