Conditions for hiking in the mountains are rather poor, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA. The weather is cloudy everywhere and foggy in the higher mountains.
It is raining in many places, such as in Rila and the Rhodopes. In the higher parts of the Balkan Mountains it snowed in the morning. It is foggy with moderate winds. There is no accumulated snow cover, but the weather is not suitable for hiking due to the wet terrain.
