"The Naked Truth About the Zhiguli Band" Film Screened in Ankara to Full House

The Bulgarian film The Naked Truth About the Zhiguli Band, directed by Victor Bojinov, was screened on Saturday in Ankara to a full house during the European Cinema Days 2024 in Turkiye.

The screening was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Turkiye, Angel Cholakov, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Levent Kayapinar, Prof. Dr. Huseyin Mevsim, the head of the Department of Slavic Languages and Literature at Ankara University, students of Bulgarian studies, etc.

The film was screened with Turkish subtitles and entry was free.

The screenings were presented with the support of the of the State Cultural Institute of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and the Department of Bulgarian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Languages, History and Geography of Ankara University. Several third-year students from the Department of Bulgarian Language and Literature translated the subtitles for the film.

The film was met with rave reviews by audiences in Ankara, with some viewers commenting that it was a great end to the work week.

The The Naked Truth About the Zhiguli Band will be screened in nine more Turkish cities - Istanbul, Edirne, Antalya, Denizli, Eskisehir, Izmir, Samsun, Trabzon, Diyarbakır.
