There is heavy traffic for trucks upon exiting some of the border control checkpoints along the Bulgarian-Romanian border, Bulgaria’s Border Police said on their website. As at 6 a.m. on Saturday, heavy duty trucks were also experiencing difficulties at the Kulata-Promachonas crossing at the border with Greece.

The difficulties stem from the gradual limiting of heavy duty trucks’ movement in both directions, introduced temporarily by the Greek authorities because of road repairs. These are scheduled to continue until April 16.

Along the border with Romania, there is heavy traffic at the Vidin, Oryahovo, Ruse, and Kardam checkpoints.

Along the border with Turkiye, a ban on heavy duty trucks will be in effect from 5 a.m. on April 14 to 5 a.m. on April 15. The trucks entering Turkiye from Bulgaria through the Kapikule and Hamzabeyli crossings will be redirected to the parking lots for heavy duty trucks near the border crossings, where they will have to stay until the ban is lifted.
