site.btaParliament Expected to Ratify New Nuclear Units Agreement with US
Parliament is expected to ratify an agreement between Bulgaria and the United States for cooperation on a project to build nuclear capacity at the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) site and Bulgaria's civil nuclear programme.
The ratification bill was adopted at first reading on March 14 after Parliament obliged the energy minister to take all actions to make a positive decision to build a new nuclear power plant using the AP1000 technology.
Ministers Krastyu Krastev, Yulian Popov, Georgi Gvozdeikov, Kalin Stoyanov, Andrey Tzekov, Ivanka Shalapatova, Rumen Radev are expected to participate in Parliament’s Question Time.
