The power-sharing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria placed two billboards in memory of Alexei Navalny near the Russian embassy in Sofia, the party said in a press release.

„There are individuals, who soar above everyday life, above the grayness of pettiness, above time. They have causes and they are a cause. Their messages are here, their causes are here. Their principles and their powers are here. Their flight to freedom is here. Navalny! A small gesture of reverence and respect, from Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, on the road to immortality. We won’t be silent,” the press release says.

On Friday members of the public laid flowers and lit candles outside the Russian embassy in Sofia in memory of  Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny after news broke of his death in an Arctic penal colony, where he was serving a 19-year sentence.
