The e-Government on Friday closed a project for the upgrade of the State Hybrid Private Cloud (SHPC) for e-Governance.
Under the project, the capacity of the Unified Electronic Communications Network was expanded, ensuring fast data exchange, and a secure Internet node for public e-Government services and a backup repository for copies of critical systems were also built. With the upgrade of the SHPC, services such as virtual data center, virtual private cloud, backup storage, web-based email and webinars, content management applications, training, help center are provided to public institutions. Another 76 servers, as well as new technology solutions such as a second virtualization platform, next-generation traffic protection appliances, and service management for logical user separation and delegation of rights.
The e-Government Ministry is a beneficiary under a project for the construction and development of a State Hybrid Private Cloud and secure internet node for public services of the e-Government, implemented under the Programme for Good Governance 2014-2020, co-funded by the European Social Fund. The project is worth BGN 62 million, of which BGN 9 million are in national financing. The e-Government Ministry is partnering with the Agriculture Ministry, the Registry Agency and the Executive Agency for e-Governance Infrastructure.
