site.btaBulgarian Aikido Federation Organizes International Seminar with Participants from 15 Countries

The Bulgarian Aikido Federation is organizing an international seminar, which will be held from February 16 to 18 at the National Centre of Wrestling, Judo and Aikido in Dianabad, Sofia. This is another big event organized by the Bulgarian Aikido Federation with Plamen Yurukov as the chairman, and the first for 2024.

The seminar will be led by French martial artist Christian Tissier, 8th dan. About 200 people from 15 countries are expected to participate.

Tissier was born in Paris in 1951. He is the only European with an eighth dan in aikido and the first outside Japan to be awarded the title of Shihan (master instructor).

In mid-October of 2023 Sofia again hosted an aikido seminar held under the guidance of Japanese sensei Kuribayashi Takanori, 7th dan.
