Nearly BGN 86.5 million are the revenues from concessions granted for the extraction of underground resources in 2019 in Bulgaria, according to annual reports on the implementation of the concession contracts for the extraction of underground resources for 2019, adopted by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday. Of the total, BGN 71.79 million are revenues from concession payments, and the rest - VAT, interest, fines, etc. 

There were 556 concessions for the extraction of underground resources in 2019, which were distributed as follows: 21 for metallic minerals; 78 for non-metallic minerals - industrial minerals; one for mining waste; 18 for oil and natural gas; 16 for solid fuels; and 422 for construction and rock-facing materials. During the year, 13 new concession contracts were concluded, the reports say.
