A Cabinet of Curiosities has opened at the Credo Bonum Art Gallery in Sofia. It is an interactive exhibition by four Bulgarian artists working with scientists at the National Museum of Natural History to explore the meeting points between art and science, the promoters said.

The show features four installations by Bilyana Desheva, Velichka Dzhambazova, Gergana Ivanova and Siana Damyanova, who examine the subject through the prism of contemporary art. Their immersive installations blend scientific thought and artistic expression, highlighting curiosity as a milestone of human exploration and understanding.

Immersive installations present the concept of a cabinet of curiosities, or a wonder room, as a curious collection of peculiar natural objects revealing a rare dimension of fantasy and reality.

Inspired by the rich archives of museum collections, the four artists presented at Credo Bonum have centred their work on categories established by scientific experts and have created their installations in four types of cabinets of curiosities. Artificialia offers a perspective on the structure of memories, Scientifica confronts man with the infinity of space, Naturalia interprets nature and its material essence, and Exotica stands for unceasing human pursuit. The four works are arranged in a kind of labyrinth which takes visitors on a journey of interaction with art and its various forms.
