site.btaConfirmed COVID-19 Cases in Bulgaria Reach 10,000

July 25 (BTA) - The number of people infected with COVID-19 in Bulgaria is already over 10,000, and the confirmed new cases for the last 24 hours are 270, out of 6,000 administered tests, national coronavirus taskforce data showed on Saturday.

In the past 24 hours, 221 people have recovered from the infection and eight people died. The total number of hospitalized coronavirus patients in Bulgaria reached 660, with 28 people accommodated in intensive care units.

Most new cases are in Sofia (55), followed by Plovdiv (39) and Blagoevgrad (26).

Among medical staff, 212 doctors, 212 nurses and 97 orderlies have been infected. RI/DT
