Bulgarian servicepersons from the country's Joint Forces Command and 61st Stryama Mechanized Infantry Brigade took part in Gordian Knot 2023, a computer-assisted command-post exercise of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Greece. It was held at Camp Prokopidi near Thessaloniki between November 6 and 17, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry reported on Friday.
The drill involved over 500 staff officers from 13 NATO member states and representatives of NATO commands.
It was aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants and to practice the implementation of tasks related to the planning and conduct of a large-scale joint operation in the conditions of Article 5 of the Washington Treaty.
