site.btaEuropean Commissioner Iliana Ivanova to Pay Working Visit to Sofia, Plovdiv

European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova will pay a working visit to Bulgaria on November 16-17, the European Commission said here on Wednesday.

She will visit Plovdiv on November 16. There she will meet with representatives of the scientific community and innovation professionals. A visit to a research laboratory at Agrucultural University and a meeting with Plovdiv Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov are also planned.

On Friday in Sofia, Ivanova will hold talks with the ambassadors of the European Union Member States, with the leadership of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), as well as with research teams from different units. She will also visit the laboratory for 3D digitization and microstructural analysis at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at BAS. The European Commissioner will also have a meeting with the Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association. As part of the visit, Ivanova will also attend the official opening of the Hristo Stoichkov Hall of Fame in the capital.
