The 44th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie took place in the capital of Cameroon, Yaoundé, on November 4-5. The conference was attended by a Bulgarian delegation, headed by Bulgaria's Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov, the Bulgarian Embassy in Abuja said on its Facebook page Thursday.

Speaking at the forum, the Bulgarian diplomat, who is also chairman of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Abuja, highlighted Bulgaria's contribution to La Francophonie, specifically in Central and Eastern Europe through a number of initiatives, including the hosting in Sofia of two Francophone structures - le Centre régional francophone pour l'Europe centrale et orientale (CREFECO) at the International Organisation of Francophonie and the Établissement spécialisé de la Francophonie pour l'administration et le management under the Francophone University Agency, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission said.
