site.btaElection Commission Publishes Numbers of Municipal Council Seats Won by Parliamentary Forces

The Central Election Commission Thursday published the number of municipal council seats won by the parliamentary forces independently or in coalitions at the October 29 local elections. A total of 5,053 seats were distributed by region as follows: Blagoevgrad 288, Burgas 277, Dobrich 162, Gabrovo 92, Haskovo 209, Kardzhali 203, Kyustendil 147, Lovech 146, Montana 165, Pazardzhik 224, Pernik 100, Pleven 199, Plovdiv 382, Razgrad 147, Ruse 152, Shumen 190, Silistra 133, Sliven 108, Smolyan 154, Sofia City 61, Sofia Region 330, Stara Zagora 227, Targovishte 109, Varna 224, Veliko Tarnovo 202, Vidin 147, Vratsa 172 and Yambol 103.

With their own lists, the parliamentary parties and coalitions won seats as follows:

GERB 1,399 seats;

Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) 37;

Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) 336;

Vazrazhdane 193;

Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) 860;

BSP for Bulgaria 539;

There Is Such a People (TISP) 71.

As part of local coalitions, the parliamentary forces won municipal council seats as follows:

Coalitions with GERB 119 seats;

Coalitions with the MRF 119;

Coalitions with GERB-UDF 25 seats in Pernik Region and Sofia City;

Coalitions with the UDF 149 seats, including 25 in the GERB-UDF coalition;

Coalitions with CC-DB 61;

Coalitions with Vazrazhdane 7;

Coalitions with BSP for Bulgaria 191;

Coalitions with TISP 118.

More than 150 local coalitions including parliamentary or extraparliamentary entities won municipal council seats.
