site.bta3,588 PCR Tests Confirm 99 New COVID-19 Cases, Number of Fatalities Record-High at 18

Sofia, August 25 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 15,386 after 99 new infections were
confirmed over the last 24 hours out of 3,588 PCR tests,
according to data posted on www.coronavirus.bg on Tuesday
morning. The active cases are 4,326.

Eighteen more fatalities were reported, which is a record-high
number since the start of the coronavirus epidemic. This brings
the total death toll to 563.

Another 159 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours.

The hospitalized patients number 714, including 65 in intensive
care.

The COVID-19 cases among medical staff number 845, with 10 new
cases registered over the last 24 hours.
