The conditions for hiking in the mountains are relatively good, but there are very strong winds in places and hikers should bear this in mind, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA on Saturday.

Weather in the mountains on Saturday: Variable cloud, breaking and decreasing in the afternoon. Moderate to strong southwesterly wind. Highs: around 16C at 1,200 metres, around 10C at 2,000 metres - about 10°.
