site.btaCouncil of Ministers Approves Draft Agreement between European Investment Bank and Ministry of Innovation and Growth

The Council of Ministers adopted Wednesday a decision authorizing the Innovation and Growth Minister to conclude an agreement with the European Investment Bank for the purpose of preparing an assessment of the structural appropriateness and effectiveness of the Bulgarian Development Bank and the Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria. 

The decision’s goal is to improve their overall efficiency, to stop activities that are not specific to the bank and the public enterprise and to improve the conditions for the implementation of the strategic objectives and policies set by the State.

The evaluation has been entrusted to an international financial institution with a proven reputation and experience in structuring similar activities and restructuring state-owned financial institutions, namely the European Investment Bank.
