site.btaBad Weather for Mountain Hiking on Wednesday

The hiking conditions in the mountains are bad, the Mountain Rescue Service (PRS) told BTA on Wednesday. The weather is foggy and there is already a snow cover of one to two centimeters over 2,200 metres.

In the high parts of the mountains the temperatures are around 0C. In most places there are showers of rain - the southern parts of Rila, Pirin, Rhodopes. The weather is expected to improve later in the day. 

There were no incidents with tourists during the past 24 hours.
