site.btaOSCE Chair Bujar Osmani Meets with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba

Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Chair Bujar Osmani met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Monday in Ukraine.

"I assured my dear colleague Kuleba that through the Support Programme for Ukraine the OSCE will continue to assist this country and its citizens through the implementation of projects tailored to its specific needs. I reiterated that the OSCE can do much in times of war, but even more in times of peace, which is our top priority in Ukraine," Osmani, who is also North Macedonia's Foreign Minister, wrote on his official Facebook page.

During the meeting Osmani stressed that despite the challenges the OSCE is facing and the violation of its basic principles caused by the military aggression of the Russian Federation, the Organization stays resilient and will continue to adhere to its core values with the support of other participating countries.

"As OSCE Chair, I call on Russia to end this war, withdraw its troops from Ukraine, and rededicate itself to the principles and values of the OSCE. The continuation of this war not only destroys the lives, homes and hopes of the people of Ukraine, but also creates a state of instability and insecurity in the entire OSCE region," he stressed, cited by North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry.

His second visit to Ukraine this year is in the framework of the implementation of one of the main commitments of the programme of the North Macedonian Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2023, his Ministry added.
