site.btaNumber of New Cases in Bulgaria Remains High: 437 in 24 Hours

Sofia, October 8 (BTA) - Over the past 24 hours, a total of 437
new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed out of 4,541 PCR tests,
bringing the share of positive tests to 9.62 per cent (from 8.02
 per cent on Wednesday), according to the information portal
coronavirus.bg.

Fifty-three people have been hospitalized in intensive care
units.

The most new cases were confirmed in Sofia (124), followed by
the Plovdiv region (65) and the Varna region (35).

A total of 1,263 medical staff are infected.

Over the past 24 hours, the death toll rose by 11, and the
recoveries by 138.
