Sofia, October 27 (BTA) - A total of 2,243 new COVID-19 cases
were confirmed in Bulgaria in the 24 hours until Monday midnight
after 7,659 PCR tests were conducted, according to data posted
on https://coronavirus.bg.
The positivity rate for the day was 29.28 per cent. A total of
42 people succumbed to the disease on Monday, while 296
recovered.
On Tuesday, Health Minister Kostadin Angelov issued an order
establishing additional anti-COVID-19 measures effective on
Thursday, October 29.
Under the order, in-person school attendance is suspended for
high-school students. In-person university attendance is
suspended too.
Discos, piano bars, night bars, night clubs and other indoor
nighttime entertainment establishments are closed to visitors.
The owners and the managers of publicly accessible facilities,
retail outlets, administrative service offices and other
establishments where services are provided to the public must
make sure that there is no more than one person per 3 square
metres of floor area in the establishment at any given moment.
According to Angelov's new order, the suspension of planned
hospital admissions in red and orange alert areas does not apply
to rehabilitation, continuous medical treatment and mental
