site.btaTwo Children from Bulgaria Rescued from Drowning near Turkiye's Enez

Two children from Bulgaria, aged 7 and 9, have been rescued from drowning by teams of the Turkish Coast Guard Command near Enez, Edirne Province. Ihlas Haber Ajanci reported that the children were on an inflatable boat near the shore, but the strong wind carried them in the deep and there was a risk of the boat overturning.  

A citizen on the shore at the time tried to reach the children by canoe and pull their boat back to safety, but failed.

Other citizens called the Coast Guard Service, whose teams rescued both the children and the person with the canoe.
