Romania Introduces
14-Day Quarantine for Arrivals
from Bulgaria

Sofia, November 3 (BTA) - Starting at 9:40 pm on November 3, travellers arriving into Romania from Bulgaria must quarantine for 14 days on arrival with some exceptions, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

If, however, after 8 days of quarantine, travellers present no specific COVID-19 symptoms and take a COVID-19 test which produces a negative result, they may leave quarantine after 10 days.

Travellers planning to stay in Romania for up to 3 days (72 hours) are exempt from quarantine, as long as they provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test, taken within 48 hours before entering the country.

The COVID test requirement does not apply to truck drivers and travellers in transit through Romania (transit time under 24 hours). RY/DD
