November 12 (BTA) - The Bulgarian healthcare authorities confirmed 3,945 new COVID-19 cases in the country over the 24 hours until Wednesday midnight after performing 10,830 PCR tests. This puts the positivity rate for the day at 36.42 per cent, according to information published at https://coronavirus.bg.

The total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Bulgaria since the start of the pandemic reached 87,311. There are 58,699 active cases. Hospitalized COVID-19 patients currently number 4,478, including 276 in intensive care units.

Wednesday saw 915 recoveries from the infection, bringing the total number of recoveries so far to 26,714. Meanwhile, 47 people died from the disease in 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,898. RI/VE
