Bulgarian athlete Plamena Mitkova qualified for the long jump final at the European Athletics U20 Championships in Jerusalem. Mitkova placed seventh in the qualification round with a 6.40 m jump length after only two attempts.
In the first attempt Mitkova, who is a world champion from Cali 2022, jumped 6.16 m and in the second 6.40 m, 5 cm more than the qualification standard but it was enough to qualify for the final.
