Lena Borislavova of Continue the Change (CC) told journalists on Monday that CC do not want a coalition agreement, but a mechanism that would ensure compliance with the commitments made in the formation of the government. She ws asked asked under what conditions Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) would sign a coalition agreement with GERB-UDF.

Borislavova clarified that her party does not consider a coalition agreement because there is no trust between CC-DB and GERB-UDF and it cannot be overcome in through an agreement. CC-DB want a mechanism for the parliamentary groups, in order to establish stable majorities to ensure the smooth work of the cabinet for the things parties have already agreed on, she noted.

She commented on a statement of CC-DB from June 23. She reinstated that floating majorities for judicial reform and for a governance and general legislative programme are not admissible and represent a violation of the principles under which the current regular government was supported by the groups of the first two parliamentary forces. Borislavova said that what comes next is the subject of talks and parties will enter these talks this week.

"Bulgaria must have a regular government, but it must have a stable parliamentary majority behind it. Otherwise it becomes a front for floating majorities with the participation of Vazrazhdane and Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which we will not allow," Borislavova said before entering a meeting in Parliament, which is to discuss constitutional changes.
