Assessment in Bulgarian schools should be more focused on measuring skills and competences rather than on mechanical reproduction of knowledge,” stressed Education Minister Galin Tsokov on Tuesday at a meeting with the Association of Principals in the Bulgarian Education System, quoted in a statement by his ministry. He noted that the Education Ministry will launch a review of the curricula, which will be conducted together with teachers, to reduce the factual load at the expense of practical knowledge and skills covered in them.
