Daniel Lorer will be Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria's candidate for European Commissioner, Continue the Change co-leader Kiril Petkov said on bTV on Tuesday. He noted that Bulgaria will have two nominees - a man and a woman, but the European Commission will decide which of the two will take the post.

Petkov also said that there is no information who GERB's candidate is.

On June 16, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen sent a letter to the Bulgarian authorities, asking them for nominees to replace Mariya Gabriel as European Commissioner. Gabriel became deputy prime minister and foreign minister in the government of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov in early June.
