site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,457 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 8.59%

November 1 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 602,492, after 16,968 tests identified 1,457 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 8.59 per cent.

Sofia tops the list of new cases with 436 positive tests, followed by Varna with 233 cases and Stara Zagora with 89.

The active cases are 99,724. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,973, including 680 in intensive care.

Another 600 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 478,769.

Eighty-one fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 23,999.

With 4,979 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,860,195 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,511,130 people are fully vaccinated, and 18,231 have received a booster jab.
