Up by 0.5% in Bulgaria
and Up by 0.3% in EU


Brussels, November 14 (BTA) - Bulgaria's gross domestic product
(GDP) increased by 0.5 per cent in the third quarter of 2014,
compared with the previous quarter, while GDP in the EU rose by
0.3 per cent and in the euro area by 0.2 per cent, the
Statistical Office of the European Commission (Eurostat)
reported on Friday, publishing flash estimates.

In the third quarter of 2014 compared with the third quarter of
2013, GDP increased by 1.6 per cent in Bulgaria, 1.3 per cent in
the EU and 0.8 per cent in the euro area.

Annual inflation in the EU went up from 0.4 per cent in
September 2014 to 0.5 per cent in October 2014, and in the euro
area it rose from 0.3 per cent to 0.4 per cent, Eurostat said.
Bulgaria is among the EU countries with the highest negative
rates of inflation, at minus 1.5 per cent in October, second
only to Greece with minus 1.8 per cent. PK/VE
