Bulgaria Ranks Second in
Junior Eurovision Song
Contest 2014


Valletta/Sofia, November 15 (BTA) - Talented Krisia Todorova and
twin piano players Hasan and Ibrahim Ignatov from Bulgaria
ranked second at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 held in
Malta Saturday evening. The junior performers presented the
song "Planet of the Children" to the accompaniment of the Pleven
Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Yordan Dafov.

The winner in the contest was Italy's Vincenzo Cantiello with
his song "Tu Primo Grande Amore" ("You Are My First Big Love").

Croatia, Cyprus, Serbia and the Netherlands gave the Bulgarian
song the maximum of 12 points.

Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov congratulated Krisia, Hasan and
Ibrahim on their success, the Ministry of Culture said.

This was the 12th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
2014 and took place in Malta. A total of sixteen countries
participated, with Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia making their
debut. Countries returning to the Junior Contest included
Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, and Serbia.

Part of the funds raised at the contest will be contributed to
the WorldVision organization which protects children's rights
