Sofia, November 17 (BTA) - Audiences in the Croatian town of
Pakrac will hear works by Bulgarian composers Lyubomir Pipkov,
Atanas Atanassov, Dobri Hristov, Krasimir Taskov and Yordan
Goshev on November 28 and 29 performed by students of Sofia's
National Academy of Music, basso Christopher Holman and pianist
Svetlin Hristov. Pianist Galina Apostolova will give classes in
chamber singing and piano four-hands, the Academy said.
Croatian musicians will visit Sofia's Academy of Music earlier
in November. On November 21, it will welcome Kristina
Beck-Kukavcic, who will give voice master classes, mezzo Biljana
Keseric, violinist and violist Vlatka Peljhan, who teaches at
the Music Academy of Zagreb, and pianist Zanina Bilic, who is
half-Bulgarian and will be on the jury of the Andrei Stoyanov
International Piano Competition in Sofia on November 20-23.
The guests have drawn up a programme for Bulgarian students who
will learn pieces by Croatian composers at a workshop conducted
by Kristina Beck and Vlatka Peljhan. The Academy's Angelina
Decheva and Galina Apostolova will play the piano in the chamber
pieces.
A concert on November 22 will feature works by Croatian
composers Hubert Pettan, Ivana Lang, Boris Papandopulo, Ivo
Macek, Dora Pejacevic and composition professors Mladen Tarbuk,
Zeljko Brkanovic, and Berislav Sipus, who is now Deputy Culture
