Japanese Artists Show Works
in "Contemporary Japanese Pottery"
Exhibition

Sofia, November 17 (BTA) - Over 25 Japanese contemporary pottery
works will be on show at the Sredets Gallery of the Ministry of
Culture. The exhibition opens officially at 6:30 p.m. on
November 18 and will be on until November 28, the organizers
said.

The exhibition is a travelling project, which presents the fine
aesthetics and remarkable achievements of a group of young
Japanese artists who have made names for themselves in both
Japan and across the word. The collection has already been shown
in France, Romania, the United States and Japan, and is now
part of the events in Bulgaria marking the 55th anniversary of
the restoration of Japanese-Bulgarian diplomatic relations this
year.

The 25 pieces have been made by using complicated and rare
technologies typical of ancient Japanese pottery and developed
over the centuries.

The collection included in the "Contemporary Japanese Pottery"
exhibition has been the property of Amateras Foundation since
2013.

The Japanese embassy has been organizing Days of Japanese
Culture in Bulgaria since 1990. For the twenty-fifth year in a
row, the Bulgarian public has the opportunity of close contact
with the ancient and contemporary side of the diverse Japanese
culture. /PK/BR
