Rectors Appeal for  National Higher Education Vision at 11th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media

Athens, November 6 (BTA) - A national vision is called for and
what specialties the state needs, the rectors of four Bulgarian
universities said Friday. They were speaking within the
framework of the 11th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media,
organized by BTA and the Association of Bulgarian Media Abroad
in Athens from November 4 to 8.

According to the Deputy Rector of the Medical University in
Sofia, Prof. Karolina Lyubomirova, the educational
establishments should become R&D centres. Students from over 50
countries are studying at the Medical University, she said,
adding that the educational establishment is also ready to teach
refugees, but they have to submit the relevant documents.

According to the Deputy Rector of New Bulgarian University,

Bulgarian citizens to receive an education in Bulgaria but to
spend their money at home. The philosophy of higher education
should change, he thinks.

Turnovo University Rector Hristo Bondzholov and the Rector of
