Foreign Ministry Advises Bulgarian Citizens to Refrain from Travelling to Egyptian Resorts

Sofia, November 7 (BTA) - Taking into account the complex nature of the circumstances around the crash of the aircraft of the Kogalymavia air carrier in Egypt on October 31, 2015, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry recommends to the Bulgarian nationals to refrain from travelling to the Egyptian resorts on the Sinai Peninsula (Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, etc.) until the reasons for the incident are clarified, the Foreign Ministry's press centre said.

"We recommend to the Bulgarian citizens, who are currently on holiday in Sharm el-Sheikh, not to leave their hotels and contact the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Cairo for additional explanations and guidelines," reads the message.

At this stage, it is also recommended to postpone trips to the Egyptian resort town of Hurghada. Where necessary, the people concerned may contact the Bulgarian Embassy in Cairo for additional information and assistance.
