Bulgaria, Albania to Cooperate in Labour,  Social Policy

Sofia, November 9 (BTA) - Labour Minister Ivailo Kalfin and his Albanian counterpart Blendi Klosi signed Monday a working programme for labour and social policy cooperation between the two countries.

The strategic document will be implemented in 2016 and 2017. Bulgaria will present Albania the process of deinstitutionalization it carries out, the measures to promote employment and the provision of social services. Joint working meetings are planned between experts of the two countries who will discuss measures against undeclared labour and the ways to encourage the independent and worthy life of the elderly.

Kalfin said that the cooperation in the area of labour and social policy is important for both countries. He said Bulgaria supports all efforts of Albania, as well as of all countries in the region, on their path to European integration. The Minister said also that Bulgaria can learn from the changes in Albania in vocational training and the use of the dual system.

The Albanian guest said that for his country the cooperation with Bulgaria is very necessary. Klosi thanked Kalfin for Bulgaria's assistance to the Albanian government in the country's integration in the EU.
