Vignette Charges Increase in 2016

Sofia, November 11 (BTA) - The 2016 12-month vignette charge for motor cars increases by 30 leva to 97 leva, Regional Development and Public Works Minister Lilyana Pavlova told reporters on Wednesday. All types of vignette charges increase as well, Pavlova said.

Trucks up to 3.5 t will pay vignette charges while heavier lorries will pay per mileage, the Minister said.

The toll system for road traffic is to be developed within three months, after which a contractor is to be selected to implement it in 2017 or 2018, Pavlova said.
