Deadline for Submission of Election Campaign Reports Expires on December 1

Sofia, December 1 (BTA) - Three hundred and four out of a total of 424 local coalitions, 196 out of 528 citizens' initiative committees, 56 out of 71 political parties, and 3 national coalitions submitted reports to the National Audit Office (NAO) by November 30 in connection with their participation in the latest local elections, NAO said.

The deadline for submitting the reports is December 1. Failure to submit a report will be punished by a fine of between 2,000 and 10,000 leva, NAO warned.

The reports will be published within 15 days after the submission deadline. NAO will then conduct audits to verify the information concerning election campaign proceeds and expenses.
