Sofia, September 30 (BTA) - In connection with the possibility that the Agung volcano on the Indonesian island of Bali can erupt, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and the Embassy in Jakarta inform Bulgarian citizens that Indonesia has raised the alert for the volcano's eruption to its highest level, the Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

Bulgarian citizens currently in Bali are advised to monitor local media and strictly follow orders in case of an emergency situation. People are advised to take personal safety measures, such as making sure they have enough drinking water and food, dust masks, and to protect their personal documents.

In case of a possible eruption, people should stay indoors and not open the windows, the press release says.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and the Embassy in Jakarta urge all Bulgarians currently on the island to register on the Ministry's website and provide a mobile phone number, an e-mail and the address of where they are staying on the island.
