Sofia, October 16 (BTA) - In a phone conversation on Monday, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev on the win for his party in the local elections in Macedonia. Borissov said: "The results in the local elections in Macedonia are a proof of approval for the politics implemented by your government: of good-neighbourly relations, dialogue and understanding based on European values."

According to Borissov, a goodneighbourliness treaty which the two countries signed in early August is a large step towards Macedonia projecting an image as a serious partner of NATO and the European Union and has sent positive signals to the Macedonian people and the international community.

Borissov underscored that the accession of the Western Balkan countries to the Euro-Atlantic organizations will top the agenda of the Bulgarian Presidency of Council of the European Union.
